Who operates Dreamzy VR
Dreamzy VR is developed by Michael Kasianowicz. For privacy questions, use the contact form.
Your videos and local library
The app reads files and connects to servers you select. Playback, color adjustments and scene analysis run on your device or a computer you connect for processing. Remote servers receive the requests needed to browse and play their files; their own privacy practices and connection security apply.
The app saves viewing preferences, scene markers, recent items, playback history and Favorites on your device. Offline and prepared copies are stored on the device that receives them. A connected computer may also keep processing files, job records and diagnostic logs. Dreamzy VR does not run a service that hosts your video library.
Sync between your devices
When iCloud is available, the Apple apps use your Apple account’s private iCloud key-value storage to sync viewing adjustments, scenes and their names or flags, saved server names and addresses, favorite folders, scene colors, playback quality settings and viewer camera parameters. Per-video settings use hashed file identifiers. Settings sync does not upload the videos themselves.
Watch history and recent items are excluded from the settings sync data. Favorite-video playlists and downloaded media are local files rather than part of this settings sync. Your operating system’s backup features may separately apply to app data.
Saved server logins use Apple Keychain and may synchronize between your Apple devices when Keychain sync is available. Passwords are not included in the settings snapshots exchanged with paired computers. A processing computer uses the access available on that computer.
Connected computers and shared folders
Pairing lets your chosen computers exchange settings and provide requested browsing, playback or processing services. These connections carry information such as computer identifiers, server and file references, editing settings, job status and requested media or output. Pairing secrets are stored in the device’s Keychain or Windows Credential Manager.
App-shared folders are accessed through Dreamzy VR’s authenticated connection. Adding one does not create a public SMB share. Only share folders with computers you trust. Paired app connections are authenticated and encrypted; connections to an external file or streaming server use that server’s selected protocol, which may have different security properties.
Camera, movement and image analysis
Camera access is used to scan pairing or Cardboard viewer QR codes. A pairing image or screenshot you choose is decoded locally. Camera pictures are not sent to the developer.
Some Cardboard viewer codes contain their lens profile directly. Others require an HTTPS request to the code’s profile or redirect service, which may be operated by Google or another provider. That service receives ordinary connection information, such as your IP address, when the profile is resolved.
Motion and headset pose are used to orient your view. Automatic color tools may analyze sampled video frames using face rectangles or person masks to choose image regions. This does not identify people or create a face recognition database.
Analytics and diagnostics
Dreamzy VR does not include advertising, behavioral analytics or a developer-operated automatic telemetry service. It does not sell your library or use it for advertising profiles.
The app, its media components and connected workers can create local diagnostic records when something goes wrong. These can include technical details and file or server references. You can choose to share relevant diagnostics with support. Apple and other platform providers may separately handle diagnostics according to your platform settings and their privacy policies.
This website and support messages
This website has no analytics scripts, advertising trackers or tracking cookies. The contact form sends messages to the private support inbox on our hosting. Its resources are served from this site rather than loaded from third-party font or analytics services.
Hosting and security systems may process ordinary request information, including IP address, requested page, time, browser information and errors, to deliver and protect the website. Technical logs may be retained for operation, security and troubleshooting; they are not used to build advertising profiles.
When you use the contact form, we receive your message, its topic, any device or app details you provide, and an optional name and email address. We use this information to answer the request and investigate the issue. Messages and replies are stored in a private support inbox, rather than published on the website or sent to a third-party form service. The form does not send automatic email notifications.
You receive a private conversation link to read replies and send follow-up messages without an account. Anyone with that link can access the conversation, so keep it private. Conversation pages are marked not to be indexed or cached. Security measures may use short-lived request information to limit abuse.
Conversations in the support inbox expire after 180 days without a new message. Anti-abuse rate records are kept for up to 24 hours and use keyed hashes rather than storing raw IP addresses in the inbox database. To request earlier deletion, choose the privacy topic in the contact form or reply in your existing conversation. Please do not send passwords, pairing codes or private videos.
Your controls and deletion choices
- Remove recent items, Favorites and downloaded or prepared copies using their controls in the app.
- Remove saved server entries and shared folders when you no longer want them available.
- Disconnect paired computers and review the pairing on each device. This does not erase files or settings already copied to another device.
- Manage camera, motion and local network permissions in your operating system’s settings.
- Use your Apple account and device settings to manage iCloud, Keychain and backups.
These controls have different scopes. Removing an offline copy keeps the original video. Removing a server does not necessarily remove an existing Keychain login. Uninstalling the app does not guarantee deletion of iCloud or Keychain records, backups, or files on another computer. The app does not currently provide a single control to erase all synchronized records.
We cannot remotely erase data held only on your devices, your own servers or your private Apple account. For help with available controls, or to request deletion of support correspondence you sent us, use the contact form. We may need enough information to identify your request and may retain records when required by law or necessary for security.
